Johnie M. Lynn

Johnie M. Lynn of Independence, Oregon died July 2, 2005 at the age of 74. Johnie was born November 25, 1930 in Dallas, Oregon to James and Catherine Wall Lynn. Johnie was born in the home his father built. Worked 35 years at Willamette Industries in Dallas, Oregon retiring November 1995. Married Violet Starks on November 15, 1962 in Independence, Oregon has lived in and around Independence for many years. Enjoyed his grandsons Brett and Dylan Sons David and John Lynn after retirement enjoyed working in his yard and helping his neighbor by doing her yard also. Was a very kind and giving person. A man of his word and honor. Lead Bible studies at his home. Love reading about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Was very proud to serve his country. Served in Korean War 1951-1953 in the US. Marines. Survivors: Violet Lynn Wife Independence, Oregon David Lynn Son Monmouth, Oregon Mary Boatwright Daughter Dallas, Oregon Janice Brockmier Sister San Jose, California Two Grandchildren Preceded in death by his parents and son John Lynn. Private interment will be held at Hilltop Cemetery in Independence. Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Saturday July 9, 2005 at Monmouth Christian Church in Monmouth, Oregon.
