John H. Semon

John H. Semon September 2, 1925 ~ December 17, 2005 John H. Semon of Monmouth, Oregon passed away December 17, 2005 at his home he was 80 years old. John was born in Atwood, Colorado on September 2, 1925 to John and Ellen Norris Semon. Enlisted in the US Army in 1943, he was with the 359th Engineer Co. in the European Theater of Operations and honorable discharged in 1946. Worked as a Long Haul Truck Driver. John married Jennie Bowman on June 11, 1983. And moved to Polk County when he retired. John was a member of the Keizer Elks Lodge and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors: Jennie Semon Wife Monmouth, Oregon J. Patricia Bolin Step-Daughter Florence, Oregon Barbara A. Weir Step-Daughter Florence, Oregon 4 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren Preceded in death by his parent sand a sister. At John's request no services will be held. Private Interment at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Contributions: Willamette Valley Hospice Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
