Announcing the sudden passing of Jennifer L. Koenig (Haire), loving mother, daughter and friend. Her passing on July 31, 2021 was far too soon. She was born in Glendale, California on February 27, 1971 and moved to Stayton, Oregon in 1981. She graduated from Stayton High School in 1989. Jennifer then attended Western Oregon University for two years while managing McGrath’s Restaurant in downtown Salem, Oregon. Most recently, she was working for the State of Oregon Department of Corrections in Salem, Oregon.
Jennifer married Charles Koenig on June 27, 1998, and together they had two sons, Joseph Perry Koenig, and Ryan Michael Koenig. Jennifer is survived by her sons as well as her father Charlie Haire and stepmother Nancy Haire of Oregon, mother Laurie E. Pineiro and stepfather Roberto Piñeiro of California, sister Natalie Pineiro Grady (husband Bob Grady) of Hawaii, brother Tomas Engle of Alabama and mother-in-law Judy Koenig of North Carolina. She was also loved and cherished by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Aaron Hoenig.
The family announces there will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 20, 2021, 11:00 am at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence, Oregon, for those who would like to attend.
