Independence - Janice Lorraine McMillian Ranslam of Independence died September 14, 2012 in Salem Oregon.
She was born and raised in Portland Oregon by her parents Charles and Lorraine McMillian. Janice married Edward H. Ranslam in 1962 in Portland, Oregon and worked as a housewife and mother as well as taking extra jobs on occasion.
Janice and her family moved to Independence, Oregon in 1975 and have lived in the area since.
Janice will be remembered for her spirited, determined, and loving nature. She was truly the hub of her family and a constant peace maker. She enjoyed and embraced her Scottish heritage and had been deeply involved in the Oregon Scottish Society.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband Edward in 2006. She is survived by her brothers Bob and Dick McMillian; her children Edward H. Ranslam II, Suzi L. Mandarino, and Diana J. Ranslam; her grandchildren Megan Curtis, Tia Curtis, Andrea Downing, Aaron Ranslam, and Aimee Partain; and her great grandchildren Nickolas Elmore and Aiden Luna. She is missed.
