Jane V. KileyJane Virginia Kiley, 78, passed away on December 29, 2014 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1936, in San Luis Obispo, CA to Dr. and Mrs. Jay Bradley Varnum Butler.Jane graduated from the University of Oregon in 1958, and obtained her first job with a post-graduate teaching certificate. Later, she worked in banks and, following her move to Hawaii in 1971 with her first husband, she obtained her real estate broker's license, earning the GRI and several other professional designations. She worked for another company there prior to starting her own agency, Heritage Homes Hawaii.She was Managing Director of Oahu's Mililani Town Operating Board for 12 years and was greatly responsible for Mililani being named All-American City in 1986 as a town of some 36,000 residents. She also was Chair of the Central Oahu Neighborhood Board for 8 years. Based on her years of previous training and experience singing with the Portland Saint Mark's Choir and performing in Gilbert and Sullivan operas with the Savoy Company, Jane sang in the Hawaii Opera Theater which she greatly enjoyed.In 1974 she met the love of her life, but it wasn't until 1989 that they finally were able to marry. Her second husband, Tom Kiley, began Heritage Counseling Services shortly after they were married. Tom came to Yuma in 1992 to explore a contract with the VA for Heritage Counseling. Two years later, when Jane came to be with Tom in Yuma, they started Hunter Employment Services together.She was a member of the Anglican Church of North America, Yuma Rotary, Yuma Chorale, and the Anglican Choir, and enjoyed supporting educational and other causes. She also enjoyed living life to the fullest, teaching by her example how to obey the commandment that we should all love one another.Jane is survived by her husband Tom of Yuma, AZ; Martin and Arpa and their children Isaac and Ruth of Morgan Hill, CA; and Brian and Barbara and their children Bradley and Heather Ann of Hanover, MD. Jane was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Dr. Jay BV Butler.Services were held at the Anglican Church in Yuma, AZ on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Jane's final resting place is in Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth, OR, where she is buried next to her father whom she loved dearly.
