Obituary, Jim Roe September 14, 1933 ~ February 7, 2009 Jim Roe of Monmouth, Oregon passed away February 7, 2009 at his home in Monmouth at the age of 75. Poppa was a kind, caring, and generous man. He brought love and laughter to everyone. He loved his family more than anything. Jim was a Navy Veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He was employed by the State of Oregon as a Real Estate Investigator for 20 years. Jim was an elder in his church, and a master Gardner. He loved to sing and feed the birds in his yard. He was loved by all who know him and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife Leona Married Feb. 29, 1952 Daughter, Patty Hess of Milwaukie, Oregon, Sons, Jim Roe III of Philomath, Oregon and Len Roe of Monmouth, Oregon. 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 1pm to 5pm Wednesday February 11th at Farnstrom Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held 11am Thursday February 12th at Central Baptist Church in Monmouth. Private interment will be at English Cemetery in Monmouth.
