James E. Pesano

July 22, 1926 — September 9, 2012

Monmouth - Cancer claimed another good person. James is preceded in death by his father, James E. Pesano Sr. and his mother, Anna Caporale Pesano. Joseph J. Pesano, his twin brother, sisters and brother, Helen Kardas, Edward P. Pisano and Francis Ruzzi, Joseph Douris and nephew, Joseph J. Pesano. He is survived by his loving sister, Rita Lane, his nieces and nephews, Gary and Katherine Lane, Thomas and Brenda Pesano, Pamela Lane, Joan and Greg Peck, Lorraine and Tim Clements, Karen and Ray Humenick, Anna and AI Yazzi, Donna and Bill Yantorno, Randy and Claudia Pesano, David and Kathy Pesano and Richard and Beverly Pesano. Jim was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend to us all. He served in the United States Army during WW II in Alaska. He left the Army in 1947 with an honorable discharge. He began his career in accounting with the new firm, IBM. He then moved to San Jose, CA working at the Ford Motor Company. While in CA, he began a long and successful career as professional dog handler. Jim was responsible for winning a great many championships for his own dogs as well as those he handled professionally. Jim and Joe Douris moved to Monmouth, Oregon to open J and P Eleven Oaks Kennel. Upon selling the kennel, they moved to Independence. Jim ran for the Central School District Board. He served from 2000 until ill health forced his retirement in 2008. He was strong supporter of Central High School and Western University sports program as well as Western University sports programs.

His many friends and family will always remember James E. Pisano, Jr., Jim. Per his request, there will be no funeral. He will be buried in Poughkeepsie, New York, where he began life.
