James "Jim" Joseph McClellan Jr.
September 22, 1932 - February 14, 2011
James "Jim" Joseph McClellan Jr. was born to James and Sally McClellan on September 22, 1932 in Rickreall, OR. Born and raised in the Willamette Valley, Jim graduated from Perrydale High School in 1950.
Jim joined the army and served for two years during the Korean War. Before his military service Jim met the love of his life JoAnn; they married and made their home in Independence with their three children LeAnn, Brian and Lauri. Jim proudly enjoyed a long career at Bosie Cascade before retiring in 1998. Jim was a long standing member at the Independence Elks and the Gun Club. Jim's number one passion was taking care of his family. He also enjoyed working on cars including his favorite Fairlane. Jim always had the radio on, or a western movie playing in the background. His family will always remember his contagious smile and willingness to help anyone.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sally; his sister, Martha; and his wife of 47 years, JoAnn.
Survivors inlcude children, LeAnn McClellan, Brian McClellan and Lauri McClellan; grandchildren, Jason Dunigan and Julie Thorne; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aiden, Gavin and Zoie.
"You will be deeply loved and missed, Grandpa."
Arrangement are entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Service will be announced at a later date.
