POEM: I am a clown. Always under makeup, painted smile A piece of fabric in a quilt. Full of so many faces Searching for my soul Scared like a child in the dark. I am a child watching my mom walk away. A penguin with one leg, The fixture with one bulb Heart with a broken valve. A pebble in the Grand Canyon I am lost in my thoughts Trying to find my life I am a haystack I am lost. I am a clown. Dancing, singing, forever smiling in your dreams. My makeup removed, my costume off I can finally see the light. I am no longer scared A mountain in the plains My haystack is found. By James Ericsson
