Jack Dale Partain

February 22, 1941 — June 12, 2004

Jack D. Partain of Independence, Oregon died June 13, 2004. Jack was born in Oklahoma to Samuel and Mary Eccles Partain on February 22, 1941. Attended grade school and High School in Quartz Hill, California. Joined the Navy April 1958 ~ Nov. 1962 and got a GED - Electrician License, Machinist License, Motion Picture Operator. When released from the Navy he met and married Caroline. Moved to Oregon in 1969. Worked at Willamette Industries in Albany for five years, then Wan Chang, then moved to Valsetz as a resident electrician until the town closed. Work in Swan Island ship tard prior to working at the Brooks Norpac Foods until he retired for medical reasons. Jack liked fishing, hunting, trains, real to real taping and Music. Attended LBCC for Welding Certification for state. Was a member of the Independence AMVETS Post 1776 since 1995. He was also a member of the NRAII, BEW, Wapetti Bow Club in Lebanon, Private Pilots License in Lebanon. Survivors: Caroline Shirley Partain Wife Independence, Oregon Alford Partain Son Buena Vista, Oregon Richard Partain Son Ontario, Oregon Malinda Wiser Daughter Independence, Oregon Tamara Lynn Daughter Independence, Oregon Jacqueline Dodson Daughter Independence, Oregon 28 grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by Jim Partain, Leland Bawlin. Services were held at the Independence AMVETS Post 1776. Contributions: American Cancer Society
