Jack E. Cook
October 17, 1934 - December 23, 2010
Monmouth, OR - Jack Cook, 76, died Thursday at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis due to cancer induced complications. A native of the Independence and Monmouth areas, he moved to Tillamook from 1974 - 1980 following his job with Southern Pacific Railroad then returned to the Monmouth area retiring there in 1993.
Among his many passions in life were his love for hunting, fishing, and the outdoors along with being an avid horseman. He loved to travel and spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Elaine, Son Paul of Monmouth, Daughter Pearl and husband Ken of Tillamook, Son Sandy and companion Nancy of Tillamook, Son Clay and wife Kelley of Tillamook, five grandchildren and two step-grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one step-great grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday December 29th and Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday all at Farnstrom Mortuary. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in care of Farnstrom Mortuary 410 Monmouth St. Independence, OR. 97351 who is entrusted to funeral arrangements.
