Howard Eugene Simmonds

Howard was born in Denver Colorado and adopted by Howard and Leola Simmonds.  He grew up in Butte Falls Oregon where his father pastored a church and where he learned to love the mountains; hunting and fishing.

The family moved to Elk Creek and he completed high school there and had won numerous trophies in basketball.  He graduated in 1965, He then attended Biola Bible College for one year.

He Married Arlene Buller from Hamilton City California in 1966. and quickly added to children to their family, A. Renee Fawcett and Kelly Simmonds, He Worked in the lumber industry until 1970-71 when he attended an automotive trade school in San Jose California.  After completing the course he worked in the business in San Jose until moving back to Oregon in 1976.  He had always wanted to go back and have his kids grow up loving nature like he did.  He loved hunting, fishing and boating. He worked in the Car sales industry for most the rest of his life including  Miles Chevrolet,, and Withnell Dodge and..Bill Rodgers Honda.He was divorced and married a second time in the early 80's to Sandy, who passed away in several years ago.
