Harry E. Barwig

Harry E. Barwig July 6, 1924 - June 3, 2007 Harry died Sunday in Salem from congestive heart failure. He was born July 6, 1924 in LaPorte, Indiana to Charles and Stella Barwig. He married Mary Sharkey on March 22, 1947 in South Bend, IN. She preceded him in death in 2002. They lived in the Salem, Monmouth-Independence area since 1960 and enjoyed talking with others about the Bible. He was active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses since the 1930's. Survivors include his sister Geraldine Thomas of Houston, TX; brother Robert Barwig of Escondido, CA; son and daughter-in-law Gary and Candy Barwig, daughter Sheri Barwig, all of Monmouth; granddaughter Cari Barwig of Cortland, NY; grandson Nick Barwig of Keizer. A Memorial Service will be held Sat. June 9, 2007 at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Monmouth.
