Gerardo Rincon, 48, of Albany, Oregon, entered rest on September 20, 2022 while on assignment fighting the Moose Fire in Salmon, Idaho. Gerardo was born on January 13, 1974 in Salem, Oregon to Jose and Juanita Rincon.
Gerardo graduated from Central High School Class of 1992, after which he worked for Rincon Lawncare and Maintenance, and served as a wildland firefighter for 28 years. A kindhearted man, he enjoyed camping, traveling, singing and playing his guitar. He was an unselfish brother, son, uncle and friend, and taught kindness and tolerance to all who knew him. He wanted to continue traveling to new places. The things he enjoyed most were hanging out with his brothers and having a good old time. He loved going to the beach, the mountains, or anywhere he could be free and one with nature. He would take any opportunity to play the guitar and sing you a song.
Gerardo is survived by parents Jose and Juanita Rincon, brothers Johnny (Jennifer) Rincon, Ponch Rincon, nephews Izaak and Lukas Rincon, and the entire Rincon family.
