Obituary, Gerardo Avelino Aguirre Sr. August 22, 1953 ~ January 21, 2007 Gerardo Avelino Aguirre Sr. of Independence, Oregon. Born in Nyssa, Oregon to Avelino and Rosa Aguirre on August 22, 1953. He was raised and educated in Caldwell, Idaho. Moved to Independence, Oregon in the late 1960's then moving to California in the early 1970's were he met and married Angela Chavira. They moved back to Independence in 1977. Gerardo worked for the State of Oregon. He loved going to the Independence Riverview Park, reading, BBQ's most of all he loved being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren.
