Evelyn Bessie Lind Lloyd, 96, of Independence, OR, passed away Jan. 1, 2011.
Evelyn was born Nov. 10, 1914 in Seattle, WA, to the late Clarence Leonard Lind and wife Bessie Bell Howard Lind. She was married to Charles Ernest Lloyd who preceded her in death. She has resided in Independence since the 1970's after she and Charles retired. She was a supporter of the Independence Library, the food bank, and other charities, a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Monmouth, OR, and loved making afghans for family, friends, and charity. Her greatest love was always her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and nephews and nieces. She was loved by all and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her son Gary Lloyd and wife Lynn of Stephenville, Texas; grandchildren Scott, Robert, Christopher, Amanda and David Lloyd; great grandchildren Colby, Brady, Brooke, Stephen, Jenna, Emmalyn, Faith, Matthew, Aiden, Rebekah, Garrytt Lloyd and Rachel Young; nephews and nieces; Richard, Jeffery, and David Wilson, Linda (deceased), Susan Hanlon, Patrick and Daniel Marsh, Pam Seidel and son Keenan, Darren Seidel; brother Don Marsh of Germany.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her sons Stephen Lloyd of Independence, OR, Michael Lloyd of Dublin, TX, grandson Roger Lloyd of Independence, OR, sister Madeline Beth Lind Wilson, WA, sister-in-law Eileen Lingle Rogers and niece Carol Sue Rogers Bolling of Denver, CO.
