Elouise "Ellie" McElravy, 63, of Monmouth died May 26, 2005 in her home. Born June 4, 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the daughter of Robert and Rosa Lee Dubois Woods. She was raised in Ringgold , Louisiana where she attended school. She then went onto school at Portland Community College in Portland, Oregon. On April 15, 1978 she married Jack McElravy in Dallas, Oregon. Ellie worked as Dietary Food Supervisor with the State of Oregon at Fairview. She was an owner of Captian Moe's restaurant. To this day many biscuit and gravy connoisseurs agree, that there are none better than Ellie's. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Green Villa Farms until her retirement in December of 2001. Ellie was a member of the Independence Elks Lodge #1950 where she served on board of trustees. She is a member of West Salem Foursquare Church and enjoyed Volunteering at Heron Pointe Assisted Living, Knitting, Traveling, Games, and spending time with her family. Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at the West Salem Foursquare Church. Contributions can be made in Ellie's name to West Salem Foursquare Church Building Fund or to Willamette Valley Hospice.
