Dwight W. Hildenbrand

MONMOUTH - Dwight W. Hildenbrand, 74, of Monmouth passed away at his residence on October 4.
Born on March 23, 1940 in Marshfield, OR, Dwight was the only child of Dorothy and Elmer Hildenbrand. Graduating from Central High School in 1958, he married Carolyn Hamilton on April 30, 1960. They had one daughter, Lori. He worked at Independence Auto Parts from 1965 to 1975, and as manager at Davison Auto Parts from 1975 until 2004.
Dwight's passion was his family, cars, music and television. He loved motorcycle trail riding, camping, gardening and working with cars. He was known as an honest, hardworking and helpful man, as well as his knowledge of many topics, especially cars. His dream was to own classic cars., and he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, especially track and field.
Dwight's wife, Carolyn, preceded him in death on July 25, 1998. He is survived by his daughter, Lori (David) Lindley; grandsons Quinn and Grant Lindley, all of Monmouth; and significant other, Irene Reul of Salem.
