Dorothy Bollene

Dorothy Mae Bollene, 81, a resident of Salem, passed away at a local care facility on Wednesday, September 22, 2010. She was born on December 18, 1928, to Frank and Frances (Southmaide) Bollene in Los Angeles, CA, where she was raised. In 1959 she moved and settled in Salem. A retired telephone operator, Dorothy enjoyed gardening, especially roses, and loved her beagles. She is survived by her brother, Thomas Bollene of Monmouth, nephew Jim Johnson of Monroe, and niece Mary Johnson of Longview. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, at Fircrest Cemetery in Monmouth. Farnstrom Mortuary is in care of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, her family has asked remembrances be made to the Humane Society.
