Donald Irwin Duvall of Salem, Oregon formally of Portland, Oregon died November 18, 2004 of complications of a heart condition he was 81 years old. Donald was born February 20, 1923 in Portland, Oregon the son of Robert M. and Marjorie V. Kellogg Duvall. Donald was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp serving from 1942 to 1946 in the South Pacific during World War II. He was in the Weapon Company, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Divsion. He married Dorothy Thompson in 1945. A longtime resident of Portland, Oregon, Donald was a steel salesman for 3 companies in 42 years. He retired from American Steel in Portland after 26 years in 1988. A Member of the Eastminster Presyterian Church were he was an Elder, Past Master of the South Gate Masonic Lodge #162, Life member of the Disabled American Veterans, and Past Dept. Commandant Marine Corp League Oregon. Survivors include his son Ronald Duvall and his wife Deborah Rada of Colton, California and his daughter Michelle Miller and her husband Mark of Stayton, Oregon along with 5 grandchildren; Ronald Duvall, Jim Duvall, Erin Miller, Matthew Miller and Eric Duvall. He was preceded in death by his son Paul A. Duvall in 1948 and his wife Dorothy in 1995. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Saturday December 4, 2004 at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Portland. Private Family inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
