Dominga Salinas was born in Rancho La Habana in Mission, Texas on July 27, 1925 to Eulalio Carrillo and Marcelina Requena Carrillo. She died at Salem Hospital after a short illness on December 26, 2017.
She married Manuel Salinas in Mission, Texas and in the mid 50's moved to the Independence area where she resided until her death. Manuel preceded her in death on June 02, 1981.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Isabel and Bardomiano Lumbreras, Irma and Francisco Diaz, and Diana Lindskog, Manuel and Hilda Salinas and Daniel and Esther Salinas from the Monmouth-Independence area. She is survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Dominga is also survived by her sister, Maria Carrillo and 2 brothers, Francisco Carrillo and Cipriano Carrillo, all of Independence. Her parents and one brother, Pablo Carrillo, preceded her in death.
A viewing and visitation will start at 4 PM at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence and Recitation of the Rosary will start at 7 PM on Thursday, December 28. On Friday, December 29, a Communion Service will start at 10 AM at St. Patrick Church also in Independence. She will be buried next to her husband at Hilltop Cemetery.
A catered lunch will be served in Cornish Hall after the funeral service. On behalf of our mother, Dominga Salinas, we invite her friends and ours to join us.
