Derrick Bryon Padgette

Derrick Bryon Padgette passed away at home in Salem, Oregon on October 9, 2021. He was born April 20, 1993 in Salem, Oregon to Teresa Anne (Hendrickson) Elmer and Jeremy Brian Padgette.

Derrick went to high school at Stayton Union High School and attended welding school shortly after that. Derrick had been working at the Sassy Onion for quite some time and enjoying every minute of it.

Derrick had a huge heart and left such an impression in people’s lives that he will never be forgotten. He had a smile that would light up the room, and an unparalleled love for his friends and family. His personality and sense of humor were infectious, he was very witty and funny and could turn a room full of frowns to laughs. He enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music, hanging out with his friends, playing video games with his buddies, working on cars, spending time with family and most of all, spending time with his son.

Derrick will live on in our hearts forever. “Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and forever dear.”

Derrick is survived by his Mom and Step-Dad, Teresa & Toby Elmer, his Son Joseph and lots of loving family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Friday, October 29, 11:00 am at Farnstrom Mortuary, 410 Monmouth St, Independence, Oregon. Interment will be at Fir Crest Cemetery, 7925 Helmick Rd, Monmouth, Oregon.
