Obituary, Delia Marjorie Moreland Sperling September 17, 1919 ~ October 19, 2006 Delia Marjorie Moreland Sperling of Independence, Oregon passed away October 19, 2006 at the age of 87. She was born in Falls City, Oregon. She married Phillip on November 1, 1941. She was always side by side with Phillip at the farm outside of Independence. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, and vegetables. They enjoyed canning and cooking. She was an honorable member of the National Edsel Club, a Brownie leader, a 4-H leader, a member of the Parker Women's Club, the Garden Club, Women for Agriculture, National Farmers Union, and a Grange member. As a teen, she enjoyed singing with her father and aunt for churches and funerals. She was known for her poetry to Phillip, her children, and her grandchildren. None of her five children followed in her footsteps with her singing and poetry. We all loved you. Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm Monday October 23, 2006 at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence.
