David Michael Anderson

David Michael Anderson December 2, 1946 ~ October 28, 2009 David Michael Anderson of Monmouth, Oregon passed away October 28, 2009 at the age of 62. David was born December 2, 1946 in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1965. In 1968 he enlisted in the United States Army and served with the 101st Airborne Division during Vietnam, he was Honorable Discharged in 1971. David worked with Washington County Fire District, Monmouth Fire Department and retired from Polk Co. Fire District #1 as Assistant Fire Chief. He also was EMT Director and a member of the Monmouth City Council. In 2003 he graduated from Western Oregon University. David enjoyed fishing, writing, playing guitar, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. All who knew Dave will remember him by his generosity, love of outdoors, service to community, genuine smile and boisterous laugh. He had unconditional love for his wife, family and friends. Memorial Service will be 1:00pm Saturday November 7, 2009 at the Polk County Fire Department 1800 Monmouth St. Independence, Oregon 97351 Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
