Clyde Milford Carrington

March 3, 1920 — March 20, 2005

Clyde Carrington, 85, long time resident of Independence passed away at the Salem Hospital March 20, 2005. Clyde was born March 3, 1920 at Fords Prairie, Washington to Suzanna and Daniel Carrington. He was the third of nine children. He served in the Army during World War II as a Sergeant in the infantry in the Pacific. Following his return from active military service he worked in the logging industry until his retirement. Clyde is proceeded in death by his wife of 49 years, Juanita Carrington on May 29, 1996. Survivors include sons Roy Carrington of Chico, CA, Robert Carrington or Idaho Falls, ID, and William Carrington of Bonney Lake, WA, daughters Carmon Gagldari and Betty Carrington both of Independence, OR and Margaret Mann of Marysville, WA., 21 grand children and 35 great grand children. Survivors also include bothers Glen Carrington of Riverside, CA and Chester Carrington of Independence, OR and sisters Irene Stover of Kelso, WA and Dorthy Loudermilk of Arcata, CA. Visitation will be held Thursday March 24, from 1p.m. to 7p.m. at Farnstrom Mortuary in Independence. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m. Friday March 25, at the Cornerstone Christian Center in Independence, officiated by Bob McMillian. Burial will follow the church service at Smith Cemetery in Monmouth, Oregon. Funeral Services are under the direction of Alex Farnstrom of Farnstrom Mortuary.
