Clara Louis (Case) Phillips, 79, passed away February 8th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Salem, OR. She was born on June 21st, 1944, to Alfred Everett Case and Lydia Alvina (Adams) Case in Orleans, Nebraska.
Clara graduated High School from Central High School in 1963 and after some time began a long-time career as a Teaching Assistant at Monmouth Elementary School and Ash Creek.
On August 7th, 1970, Clara married the love of her life and best friend, Robert L Phillips Jr in Independence, OR and together had three children; Julie Collins, Casey Phillips and Laura Freeborn, whom they loved dearly.
She spent her life giving to others, her family, students and friends. She loved unconditionally and was always there for her family. Some of her favorite hobbies were painting and coloring, taking drives along the coast, spending time taking care of her plants and of course her dog, Autumn Phillips. Most of all, all she wanted was to see her kids, grandkids and great grandkids be happy and healthy.
Preceded in death by her one true love, her husband Bob Phillips, parents Alfred and Lydia Case, sister Vicki Teal, brothers: Rex Case, Pete Case, Tom Case and Everett Case.
Survived by her three children: Julie and Jeremy Collins, Casey and Carrie Phillips, Laura and Chad Freeborn. 8 Grandchildren; Eli and Makayla DenBeste, Emma DenBeste and Asher Roper, Ethan DenBeste and Allie Majors, Lydia Phillips, Robbie Phillips, Michael Collins, Christopher Collins, Troy Sievers and Kalaya Griffith. 1 Great Grandchild; Silas Sievers and her beloved dog Autumn Phillips.
