Christy (Bailey) Prouty

Christy Bailey-Prouty, 48, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 30th. Christy is survived by her husband, Charles and her stepchildren, Amber, Andrew and Amy.
Christy, was born Christy Michelle Bailey in September of 1969, to Michael and Darlene Bailey of Portland, Oregon. Christy's early years were spent in youth group and the hand bell choir at Portland's First Church of the Nazarene.
Upon graduation from Roosevelt High School in Portland, Oregon. Christy worked as an Administrative Assistant at various Portland area companies.
In 2010 she married Charles Prouty and moved to the Independence, Oregon area. There she continued to work as an Administrative Assistant for various Salem area businesses.
Christy loved shopping, coffee, spending time with friends and family and the Lord. Every church Christy attended; she found a way to get involved and displayed her love for the Lord, through giving of her time and talents.
In honor of Christy, a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 11th at 1 pm, at the Buena Vista Community Church. A potluck will be held across the street at the Buena Vista Fire Station for those in attendance.
Memorial contributions can be sent to the Buena Vista Community Church, Polk County Fire District #1 or American Diabetes Association.
