Independence - Charlotte was born May 2nd, 1943 to Carl & Shirley Jones. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 4th, 2012. She was married to Dennis Russell Collins and had two beautiful children, Kimberly Collins of Wilsonville, OR and Russell Brian Collins of Poulsbo, WA. Surviving siblings include Gene, Ed, Dennis and Nancy.
Charlotte had too many achievements in her life to mention, but a few notable ones were duty as a US Marine in Hawaii, many years as a P.U.C. working for the State of Oregon, and last but not least, working over 5 years as a crossing guard for the schools of Independence, Oregon.
Her favorite times were going to see her friends at Farmers Market or walking with her friends in the rain. Her special times were painting and doing crafts in her art studio. Her love was for lighthouses and her animals, with a special mention to Bandit who was by her side till the end.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 pm at Farnstrom Mortuary, 410 Monmouth Street, Independence, OR 97351. Memories and online condolences at www.FarnstromMortuary.com .
