Cathleen "Cathy" Elaine Woods
On June 12, 1964, Cathy was born in Portland, Oregon to Bob and Jacky Nyman. Growing up as a part of a large family, full of brothers and sisters brought her a ton of memories she treasured.
On November 4, 1991, she married William Lester Woods in Missouri. Everyone agrees they were a perfect match. At times just being together was all they needed in life.
Raising a large family of 3 sons (Paul, Leo and Lester) and two daughters (Mickey and Clover) was a challenging and almost impossible task that she took to with a Mother Bear attitude, always protecting and never giving in. She was the undisputed leader of this large family that all laughed, loved, fought, cried, feared, apologized and survived all of life’s trials together. This family plus her pets were what kept our Cathy happy. At times having cats, always cats, birds, rabbits, fish and any stray that came along.
Cathy will be missed by all, and will be thought of and remembered daily. Remembering her life and all she did, the good times and the bad alike of this family’s leader are what we need to treasure and remember her by.
Cathy's life will be celebrated at an informal gathering on Monday, May 20, 2019, 2 pm at Farnstrom Mortuary, with interment following at Hilltop Cemetery.
