Beverly Dianne Wiens
October 24, 1929 - July 30, 2016

Bev was born October 24, 1929 to Geraldine and Fritz Erickson in Portland, Oregon. Beverly graduated High School from Gresham, Oregon, and joined the United States Air Force. While stationed in Denver, Colorado, she met her husband, Delton Wayne Wiens, who was also serving in the United States Air Force. They were married March 2, 1954. Shortly afterwards they returned to Portland, Oregon, where they had their two daughters, Dianne Susan and Mary Kathleen. Bev and Del moved the family to Monmouth, Oregon, where Bev took a position with Stineff Insurance. After retirement Bev enjoyed volunteer work, traveling, cards and their dogs. On July 30, 2016 at 1:15 am Bev passed through God's other door at the age of 86. Beverly enjoyed this life immensely and was reluctant to go until the very end. Once brought home for hospice care Beverly received a "room full" of visitors from the other side apparently tasked with the chore of bringing her "home". Once they appeared to Beverly she wasted no time and even uttered the comment, "I never knew it took so long to die". She was found with one hand on her bed rail and one foot out of bed. She was physically and metaphysically on her way. It is with thanks to you for your friendship and humor that made Bev's life so enjoyable. Thank you very much!

There will be no formal service. Please make donations to the Willamette Valley Humane Society in lieu of flowers or gifts. Beverly will be interned at Willamette National Cemetery.
