Beverly Ann Tricker

March 20, 1955 — May 6, 2016

Beverly A. (Brooks) Tricker
Mar. 20, 1955 - May 6, 2016
Beverly Ann Tricker, 61, of Independence, died May 6.
She was born in Salem to Richard and Pauline (Rambo) Brooks and excelled at art and singing before graduating from Central High School in 1973.
After graduation, Bev met her future husband and constant companion while waitressing at The Blue Garden. She and Mark Tricker were married on Jan. 17, 1974, in Independence. Together they had a daughter, Melanie, and lived where work took them, everywhere from Aberdeen, Hoquiam, Prineville, Bend, Dallas, and Reno before returning to Monmouth and Independence in 2006.
Along the way, Bev improved the wellbeing of others, whether as a candy striper, pharmacy technician, or in housekeeping at Renown Hospital in Reno and Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.
Bev was a warm, nurturing soul devoted to family, always willing to lend an ear or counsel to anyone in need day or night. She kept special places in her heart for children and animals and raised many horses and dogs.
Bev took every opportunity to celebrate occasions (particularly Halloween) with laughter, treats, and fun, but she was equally at home enjoying a new television show, contemporary music, or classic movie reruns into the wee hours.
Survived by husband Mark Tricker of Independence; daughter Melanie (Ryan) Harper of Seattle; one grandson; brother Randy (Lynnette) Brooks of Prineville; sister Cindy (Rodney) Weston of Dallas; sister Ramona Best of Jefferson; and extended family.
Private viewing was held in Independence and a private memorial gathering is pending. Memories and condolences at FarnstromMortuary.com.
