Beverley "Bev" Anne Puccetti, 82, of Monmouth Oregon passed away on March 2nd. Born in San Francisco, California to Robert Winifred Robertson and Margaret Hannah Robertson (McFarlane), Bev grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, moving with her family to Sonoma County as a teenager. Despite being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of ten, when the use of insulin was new, Bev led a long and productive life, often remarking on the strides made in diabetes management.
In 1959, she married Kennedy Puccetti, whom she met on a blind date. Together, Bev and Ken grew wine grapes on a small acreage in Hopland, California while working for the County. Bev worked for the Social Services Department until her retirement in 1984. After retirement, Bev and Ken moved to Shasta County and built their dream home in Old Station. She enjoyed quilting, painting, genealogy and taking cross-country adventures with Ken in their RV.
After Ken's death in 2004, Bev moved to Monmouth, where she enjoyed the company of her daughter, Robin Puccetti of Independence, Oregon and spending time with her dog, Tyke.
Bev is survived by her daughter Robin and nieces Diana Ford of Hopland, California and Cathy Clack of Broadway, North Carolina. She is also survived by a foster brother, Richard Robertson and grand nieces and nephews, Tracy, Ben, Rena, Brian, Kevin and Coleen. Bev was also "Grandma" Bev to Janna, Kristie, Walter, Drew, Sandy and Joyce who, while unrelated, she considered family.
No services are planned. Contributions are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project or the Independence Community Dog Park. Farnstrom Mortuary is caring for the family.
