Betty Jean Hendrix

Betty J. Hendrix, 90, died on June 13.
Betty was born in Dos Palos, California, to Coy Campbell and Eva D'ette. She graduated from Oristumba High School in Newman, California, in 1944. She spent much of her youth working for her aunt and uncle in the family restaurant.
She married Clifford L. Sweeney in 1948. They made their home in Lobster Valley and had two children, Thomas L. Sweeney and D'ette Sweeney (Hendrix).
In 1961 she married Claude A. Hendrix. During these years she enjoyed family gatherings and moose, antelope and elk hunting trips. She also enjoyed riding and raising horses. Together they had three children, Claudia Hendrix (Gilstrap), Rex A. Hendrix and Shelly Hendrix (Keating). From her combined families, she had 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Betty was a member of Suburban Christian Church until her health matters were a concern.
Betty was preceded in death by both her parents and her sister, Charlotte.
Per Betty's request, there will be no service. Her ashes will be put by her deceased husband, Claude, at the Lobster Valley Cemetery.
