Obituary, Bertha Bell Volkman April 2, 1905 ~ January 25, 2007 Bertha Bell Volkman of Dallas, Oregon formerly of Independence died January 25, 2007 at the age of 102. Bertha was born in Beaver City, Nebraska. Moved to Oregon from Nebraska in 1937 and to Independence in 1948 from Hermiston. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #177, Monmouth LEA Ladies Encampment Aux. Bertha enjoyed yard work, crochet and Knitting. She is survived by her son Melvin Volkman of Dallas, Oregon, Sister Zela McJunkin of Salem, Oregon. 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Oliver, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Crypt Side service will be held 10:00 am Monday January 29, 2007 at Restlawn Mausoleum.
