Aurora S. Alvarez of Beaverton, Oregon (formerly of Independence) passed away August 14, 2011 at the age of 83.
Aurora was born in Edinburg, Texas to Jose and Florentina Salazar. Came to Oregon in 1962. She was married to Carlos Alvarez and he proceeded in her death in 1970. Aurora enjoyed music, dancing, cooking and soap operas.
She is survived by her son Rafael Alvarez of Independence and daughter Dora Alvarez of Beaverton, Oregon. 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, 6 brothers and 4 sisters.
Rosary will be 1:00pm Monday August 22, 2011 with Funeral Mass 2:00pm both at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Independence. Graveside service will follow at Hilltop Cemetery in Independence.
