Arthur L. Puvogel

Arthur L. Puvogel, 85, a resident of Dallas died Friday, December 25, 2009. He was born April 15, 1924 in Morril, Kansas one of 11 sons born to John and Johanna Bowmann Puvogel. He served in the US Army from April 18, 1944 to May 19, 1946. Arthur married Dorothy Shipley on December 27, 1945 in Kelso, Washington. He worked 43 years at Longview Fiber as a pipe fitter. He moved to Lincoln City where he lived for 10 years prior to moving to Dallas seven years ago. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Dallas. He enjoyed rock hunting on the beach and polishing them and fishing. He is survived by his daughters Yvonne Puvogel of Dallas and Annette Johnson of Vancouver, Washington along with three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2008, two sons, one daughter and 10 brothers. A memorial service will begin at 2:00pm Saturday, January 2, 2010 at the Dallas Kingdom Hall. Private Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
