Obituary, Arlene M. Edwards May 24, 1929 ~ August 23, 2008 Arlene M. Edwards of Independence, Oregon passed away August 23, 2008. Born May 24, 1929 to Aaron & Lila Gill in Duluth, Minnesota. Graduated from Lakewood School. Arlene married Robert in 1950 and they moved to Oregon in 1962, later to the Monmouth/Independence area in 1965. She worked at Independence Laundry, Truitt Brothers Cannery retiring in 1992. She liked fishing, camping and going for rides to the coast and mountains. Survivors include her sons Robert Edwards Jr. of Portland, Oregon and James Edwards of Independence, Oregon. 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Private Family interment will be held at Fir Crest Cemetery in Monmouth, Oregon. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
