Allan Charles Bowles

Allan Charles Bowles passed away April 5th, 2024. Allan was born July 16th, 1948, in Cedaredge, Colorado to Samuel Bowles and Mildred Bowles. Allan is survived in death by his loving wife Nancy Lee Bowles, they were married for 50 years. He is also survived by his siblings, brother David Bowles, sisters Elaine Kukulan and Irene Bowman, son Joseph Kai Bowles (Kristen) Kalia, Jacob and son, Aaron Brian Bowles, (Rachael) Alexia.
Allan joined his parents Samuel and Mildred Bowles, sister Carol Dobson, brother Nathan Bowles and his daughter Rebecca Maile Bowles in heaven.
After two years at Colorado State University, Allan moved to the Bis Island of Hawaii in 1971. There he met Nancy, and they were married in Hilo in 1974. Allan worked throughout Hawaii in construction and remodeling until he was 70. He worked mainly on the Big Island and Oahu but also on Kauai, Maui and Lanai.
After the lava flow of 2018 covered the house, which he had built in Kapoho, Hawaii, Allan and Nancy moved to Monmouth, Oregon to be near their two sons.
Allan enjoyed hiking, camping and exploring Oregon with Nancy. He especially enjoyed long bike rides of a few days a week, camping along the way.
A fond aloha and committal service will be held Friday April 12th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Fir Crest Cemetery 7925 Helmick Road, Monmouth Oregon 97361
