Alice Adline Smith of Dallas, Oregon passed away June 1, 2011 at the age of 87.
Alice was born in Texas. Lived in California then moved to Oregon after her stoke at age 73 until her passing, came to Oregon to be close to her only child and grandchildren. Alice work as a laundry presser, housekeeper, returned to college and earned a nurses license and worked as a nigh shift lead nurse for several years, then went into private care her last working years.
Survivors included her daughter; Mildred Joyce (Jerry) Zowie of Dallas, Oregon, grandsons David Leon (Tena) Gussman of Monmouth, Oregon, Marshal Wayne Gussman of Monmouth, Oregon, Robert Otis (Michelle) Zowie of Salem, Oregon, granddaughter Alicia Pauline (Marc) Smiley of Dallas, Oregon. Great grandchildren, Justin (Ramona) Gussman, Alexander Brink Zowie, Daniel Zowie, Kaytlyn Zowie and Bryan Zowie.
Open casket visitation will be Monday June 6th from 2-5pm at Farnstrom Mortuary. Funeral Service will be 1pm Tuesday June 7th at the Dallas Seventh Day Adventist Church with committal service following at Dallas Cemetery.
