Obituary, Alex A. Kazakoff February 18, 1912 ~ March 16, 2007 Alex A. Kazakoff of Independence, Oregon died March 16, 2007 at his home in Independence at the age of 95. Alex came to Oregon in 1923. Lived in California for a brief time before returning to Buena Vista - Independence area. He worked as a floor layer in California for a brief time. Bulk of his career in Portland - Tigard area where he lived until 1990 when he moved back to Independence. Alex enjoyed repairing bikes and gardening. Survivors include nieces Glovia Paulson of Eugene, Kathy January of Santa Rosa, Marilyn Loy of Salem, Nephew Dan Kirichenko of Santa Rosa and Half-Brother Pete Kazakoff of Independence. Proceeded in death by his mother Nellie, Father Alex, Brother Bill, Sisters Anne Popoff and Mary Kirichenko. Graveside Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday March 20, 2007 at Buena Vista Cemetery in Buena Vista, Oregon. Arrangements Entrusted to Farnstrom Mortuary, Independence.
