Albert Henry Schultz January 28, 1921 ~ December 17, 2009 Albert Henry Schultz of Independence, Oregon passed away December 17, 2009 at the age of 88. Albert was born January 28, 1921 to Orvile Otto Schultz & Lena Schmidt Schultz Ennis in Salem, Oregon. He attended Parish Middle School and Salem High School. Married the love of his life Mildred C. Goodin of Monmouth, Oregon on February 2, 1946 in Vancouver, Washington. Entered the Navy in April 1938 where he served with honors, being honorable discharged in 1947. Albert worked as a rural mail carrier for Monmouth route 2 from 1957 until 1980 and was also a farmer in Monmouth for 33 years. Albert was a member of the Lyons Lodge 29, AM & FM masons, Past master of the Lodge twice. Past Patron of Adah Chapter #34 Order of Eastern Star. Past Grand Patron Order of Eastern Star, Oregon Grand Chapter 1996-1997. Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Past President of Oregon State Rural Mail Carriers, Commander of VFW Post 3203 in Dallas, OR., Past President of Disabled American Veterans DAV No. 6 in Salem, OR. Albert was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to travel. Most of all he loved his family. He enjoyed when the grandchildren and great grandchildren were around. They love to sit on "Papa's" lap and play with him. Proceeded in death by 4 siblings. Survived by his wife Mildred, Sons LeRoy Janet of Hillsboro, Dennis of Scio, Douglas Debbie of Albany, Daughter Pamela Ernest Williams of Florence, Arizona, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. Contributions to" Estarl or Shriners Transportation to Adah Chapter, % Glenva Smith, P O Box 132, Monmouth, OR 97361 Private interment with Military Honors will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Memorial Service will be Tuesday 2pm at the Scottish Rite Temple 4090 Commercial St. SE Salem, Oregon.
