Alan J. Ingersoll of Independence, Oregon died March 2, 2005 he was 86 years old. Alan was born January 6, 1919 in Morocco, Indiana to Adelbert and Addie Sturtevant Ingersoll. Alan was in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. Graduated from Jefferson High School in Daly City, California worked as a Apprentice / Journey man Machinist. Belonged to the Bay Area Modelers Club ~ Branch 57 of EDGE&T, received the Joe Martin Foundation for Exceptional Craftsmanship award from metal working craftsman of the year in 1998 for his curtiss V12. He played the harmonica and organ. He enjoyed machining and creating model airplanes, racecars, HO gauge trains and RC Boats. Survivors: Grace Sanner Daughter Independence, Oregon Lonnie Sanner Son in Law Independence, Oregon 4 grandchildren 3 great grandchildren 3 step grandchildren 2 step great grandchildren Preceded in death by his Mother and Father, 3 brothers and a sister. At his request no services will be held.
